E-collar Proficiency Course
Conditioning to low-level e-collar stimulation and owner education.
Service Description
This six week course will focus on safe and proper remote collar usage. Some lessons may be spent ensuring the foundations of certain commands are in place before using the e-collar. The owner will be taught all of the functions of the tool and appropriate applications. A PDF document explaining methods, safety, and exercises will also be provided to owners who enroll. The end goal of this course is to achieve off-leash recall, obedience from a distance, and curbing some nuisance behaviors that other methods are less effective on. Why use a remote training collar? Think of an e-collar as "the great invisible leash" and a safety net. Once a dog learns what e-collar stimulation means, communication between dog and handler is streamlined, and response under distraction is vastly improved. All of my personal dogs are trained to an e-collar, and enjoy the benefits of total off-leash freedom. This course will include an E-collar Technologies ET-300 and any applicable accessories.
